Volunteer Opportunities for Mid-High Students!
By: Suhani Panjwani
Youth Central
Youth Central is an excellent volunteer opportunity for youth between ages 12-18, who have to still be in secondary school, just like you :)
You will have access to multiple projects, having a variety of causes, and in locations. Some of the categories consist of working with the elderly, working with kids, focusing on a social issue, working with festivals, as well as projects focused on STEM or Arts and Cultures.
Gain volunteer experience by working with others, in groups of 5-12, sometimes more depending on the project itself. You will have a team leader that helps you and makes sure everyone is doing their part.
Recommendation letters are possible after volunteering for 20 hours.
You gain many skills that are beneficial in your everyday life, such as leadership, teamwork, and more.
